Dinner To Go from 9 Miles East Farm is a great way to feed your family a convenient, healthy, fulfilling meal. Don’t have the time to cook a balanced, healthful, hot meal for your hungry family? Our dinners include a hearty, healthy slow simmered stew or soup and a side of energy boosting veggies– a great alternative to schlepping to the grocery store, cooking dinner, and of course, cleaning the dishes after a busy day.
Our dinners vary with the seasons and are inspired by the world’s great cuisines. We make healthy versions of comfort classics from scratch using high quality ingredients sourced from our farm whenever possible, and supplement with high quality oils, organic grains, and grass fed beef or antibiotic free, hormone free chicken.
Meals consist of 1.5 quart servings of hearty stews, soups, and chilis, paired with a 3 cup serving of cooked vegetables or stir-fry.

We’ve all heard that avocados are a great source of “good fat”. And that’s because they contain monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, which are great for hearth health – improving blood lipids, and controlling cholesterol and blood pressure. Other great healthy fats to include in your diet are coconut oil and olive oil. Unlike restaurants that use extra butter and cream, we cook with healthy fats to add great taste, flavor and health benefits to our favorite meals. Delicious doesn’t have to be bad for us – so we use reduction, acidity, spices and other techniques to create flavor intensity without excess fat – with the added health bonus of “good fat”.

So we use antibiotic free, hormone free chicken and grass fed beef in a variety of our dinners. We also use nuts and beans to provide a combination of protein and other beneficial compounds.
